7-Eleven Philippines has warned of possible legal action against individuals who deliberately put the health and safety of its customers and staff at risk.
The warning comes after a video went viral on social media showing a woman licking a hotdog from one of the store’s food displays.
The incident was reportedly recorded by her companion, who could also be heard laughing as the woman licked the food item and returned it to the display.
The woman was then seen taking another hotdog with her bare hands.
In a statement, 7-Eleven Philippines reiterated that food safety and sanitation remain among its top priorities.
The company assured customers that any food or beverage found to have been improperly handled is immediately removed and disposed of.
7-Eleven also stressed that intentional tampering with food is a serious public health violation.
It warned that appropriate legal action may be pursued against anyone whose actions compromise the safety and well-being of its customers and employees.
The convenience store chain further reminded the public that proper food handling is essential in preventing contamination and protecting consumers.
