Authorities have limited tourist access to the historic Alhambra complex in Granada, Spain, following three consecutive earthquakes.
Three people sustained minor injuries, including a minor who was taken to a hospital, while several buildings, museums, and facilities in the area were closed due to damage.
The strongest of the tremors was a magnitude 4.7 earthquake that struck Gojar, about 10 kilometers south of Granada City, according to Spain’s National Geographic Institute.
It was followed by additional tremors in nearby areas, just days after a magnitude 5 earthquake also caused damage and prompted the temporary closure of parts of the Alhambra.
