Political vlogger Mimaa Alicia killed in Caloocan shooting

Political vlogger Alicia Lipata, popularly known online as “Mimaa Alicia,” was shot and killed by unidentified assailants in Caloocan City early Friday, police said.

According to the initial police investigation, Alicia and her live-in partner, identified only as “Nelboy,” had just parked their vehicle when they were attacked by gunmen riding a motorcycle.

Authorities said the suspects opened fire on the victims shortly after they arrived at the location.

Alicia sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body and was declared dead at the scene.

Her live-in partner survived the attack but suffered injuries and was taken for medical treatment.

Police have launched an investigation to identify the gunmen and determine the motive behind the killing.

Investigators are looking into several possible angles, including whether the attack was connected to Alicia’s business activities or her work as a political vlogger.

As of the latest police report, no suspects have been identified or taken into custody.
