The number of repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their dependents has reached 7,196.
This is based on monitoring from March 5 to April 21, 2026.
According to Hans Leo J. Cacdac, head of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), repatriation efforts were intensified amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Priority was given to those in high-risk areas, as well as individuals who are ill or facing humanitarian concerns.
Of the total, 6,557 individuals were repatriated through government-funded efforts—over 5,000 are workers, while more than 1,000 are dependents.
More OFWs are expected to arrive in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the DMW assured strong coordination among government agencies to support Filipino workers abroad.
It also emphasized that the needs of OFWs will be addressed—from repatriation to reintegration programs.
