Filipina confirmed dead in Hong Kong fire

The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong has confirmed that a Filipino domestic worker was among those killed in the massive fire at a high-rise apartment complex in Tai Po.

The agency extended its condolences to the family and friends of the Filipina, who had been working abroad to provide a better life for her loved ones.

The blaze, which struck the Tai Po residential building, has claimed the lives of at least 128 people.

It was earlier reported that several individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident.
