Thousands Register for Upcoming BSKE

Around 31,000 individuals participated in the ongoing voter registration for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Metro Manila and through the Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP).

According to data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), a total of 31,899 eligible voters registered yesterday.

Among the SRAP sites, Region IV-A (Calabarzon) recorded the highest number of registrants with 8,290, followed by Central Luzon with 4,100, SOCCSKSARGEN with 1,999, and Davao Region with 1,867.

The Comelec resumed the seven-month voter registration period for the 2026 BSKE yesterday, which will run until May 18, 2026.

It can be recalled that from August 1 to August 10, around two million Filipinos registered nationwide for the BSKE — surpassing the Comelec’s original target of 1.5 million new registrants.
