6.7-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck at 11:02 a.m. on January 7, 2026, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST).

The quake had a depth of 42 kilometers, with its epicenter located at 07.13° North, 126.95° East, approximately 47 kilometers south-southeast of Manay, Davao Oriental.
