A fatal accident occurred around 8:55 AM yesterday in Brgy. Magdugo, claiming the life of a female motorcyclist.
Queenie Chelle Laruap, 35, was riding her Yamaha Mio motorcycle when she attempted to overtake a prime mover with trailer truck.
Due to muddy road conditions, her motorcycle skidded uncontrollably, causing her to crash into the truck, which tragically ran over her.
The victim was immediately brought to Toledo City General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Jefelson Eu Nahid.
Police investigators quickly secured the scene, taking the suspect, Lemuel Barwaldo Lemoran, and his truck into custody for further investigation.
Authorities are now preparing appropriate charges against the driver as they continue to examine the accident’s circumstances and contributing road conditions.
