A 36-year-old female doctor was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head inside a grey vehicle on Sunday, February 16, 2025. The incident happened in St. Montery Village, Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City, where a bystander discovered the body at around 4 p.m.
The victim, identified as Dr. Rajean Monnette Romualdez, had been working at Bicol Medical Center for five years. According to the Naga City Police, she was last seen entering the car with a male companion. However, the firearm used in the crime was not found at the scene, and authorities are still determining the motive.
Following the discovery, Naga City Mayor Son Legacion assured the public that the case is a priority investigation.
“It is with a heavy heart that I inform the public of an ongoing investigation into the death of Dr. Romualdez. I have instructed our authorities to prioritize this case, with SOCO Naga assisting to uncover the facts. At this time, we respectfully ask for privacy for the victim’s family as the investigation continues,” Legacion stated.
The Naga City PNP is urging anyone with information to come forward as the case remains under investigation.
