Three people were killed and four others were injured in a collision between a multicab and a tanker truck along the national highway in Barangay San Mateo, Aleosan, North Cotabato on Friday, June 13, 2025.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. while the area was experiencing heavy rainfall and strong winds that severely limited road visibility.
Initial police reports said both vehicles were reportedly speeding when the collision happened on the wet highway. The multicab sustained heavy damage, and responding rescuers confirmed that three of its passengers died on the spot.
Four other victims were immediately brought to the Aleosan District Hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not yet released the extent of their injuries.
As of this writing, the identities of the deceased and the injured remain unknown.
The Aleosan Municipal Police Station is continuing its investigation to determine the cause of the crash and to identify those involved.
Authorities are asking the public to coordinate with the Aleosan Municipal Police Station or visit the Aleosan District Hospital to help identify the victims.
