2 Dead, 1 injured in collision in General Santos City

Two people were killed, while one was injured after a car crashed into a parked truck past 7 PM on Diversion Road, Barangay Sinawal, General Santos City, on February 23, 2025.

The fatalities were identified as Rodolfo Belila, 30 years old, a resident of Barangay Labangal, and Gerald Aleria, 17 years old, from Barangay San Isidro in the said city

Meanwhile, another passenger, Rhineil Millan, is in critical condition and is currently receiving medical treatment at the hospital.

According to the police investigation, the truck was parked and had warning devices placed around it. The investigation also revealed that the victims had come from a resort before the accident occurred.

Belongings of deceased driver missing

Mel Belila, mother of Rodolfo, the driver of the car that crashed, is calling for the return of her son’s missing belongings.

According to Mel, several of her son’s possessions are missing, including a necklace worth ₱25,000, a cellphone, and his ATM card containing ₱175,000.

She hopes that those who took the items will have a conscience, especially since her son has already passed away. She also said that the items may be turned over to TEU Gensan or Brigada.

Rodolfo, the eldest among his siblings, was scheduled to return to his ship on March 3.
