Authorities seized 1,840 liters of diesel estimated to be worth ₱184,000 during the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, on Sept. 23.
One individual was arrested during the operation after authorities recovered a .45-caliber firearm with a defaced serial number.
Police also confiscated two magazines and 28 rounds of ammunition. Containers and equipment reportedly used for refilling diesel were likewise recovered during the operation.
The operation was conducted by the Regional Maritime Unit of the Negros Island Region, with assistance from other police units.
The arrested individual and the recovered evidence were brought in for proper documentation and the filing of appropriate charges.
The seizure included the 1,840 liters of diesel, estimated at ₱184,000, along with the containers and equipment used for refilling the fuel.
