Worker electrocuted to death in Cagayan de Oro, three others hospitalized

One worker died, and three others were rushed to the hospital after being electrocuted while installing streetlights in Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City

According to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, the four workers were conducting streetlight installation when they accidentally came into contact with a live wire. The electrical current surged through their bodies, causing severe injuries.

Authorities confirmed that one of the workers succumbed to the injuries at the scene, while the three survivors were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current condition remains unknown.

The incident also caused a temporary power outage in parts of Barangay Bulua, affecting nearby residents and businesses. Local authorities and the power company have since worked to restore electricity to the affected areas.
