VP Sara says she’s on ICC’s arrest list

Vice President Sara Duterte has revealed that she believes she may be among the individuals who could potentially face arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

In a media interview, Duterte stated that the possibility of her arrest had crossed her mind when she visited her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is facing crimes against humanity charges at the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands.

According to Duterte, she was initially allowed to visit her father daily, but later, her visits were restricted, and all conversations were reportedly recorded by the ICC.

The Vice President also mentioned that other individuals who might be on the list for potential arrest include Senators Bato dela Rosa and Bong Go, as well as retired generals Oscar Albayalde and Vicente Danao.

Duterte was quoted as saying, “Naa ko sa listahan, daghan kaayo mi nga naa sa listahan sa ICC,” which translates to “I’m on the list; there are many of us on the ICC list.”

While confirming her name’s presence on the list, Duterte claimed that her name followed those of Senators dela Rosa and Go, and the generals.

It’s worth noting that Counsel to the Complainants, Atty. Neri Colmenares, had previously mentioned in interviews that dela Rosa, Albayalde, and Danao were among the alleged co-perpetrators in the case.

Documents available on the ICC’s Facebook page also referenced co-perpetrators, although their names were redacted. The ICC has not issued a statement confirming or denying Duterte’s claim about the arrest list.
