Two men found shot dead inside Aklan farm

Two men were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a farm in Barangay Lapnag, Banga, Aklan, on Wednesday, July 9.

The victims were identified only by their aliases “Tep,” 44, and “Hersey,” 46, both residents of the same town. According to police, the two were working as poultry farm helpers.

In an interview with Brigada News FM Kalibo, Police Captain Dandy Gonzalodo, Officer-in-Charge of the Banga Municipal Police Station, said the discovery was reported around 1:00 p.m.

When authorities arrived, they found the bodies in separate areas of the farm, approximately 150 meters apart.

Initial investigation revealed that nearby residents heard gunshots at around 8:00 a.m. but did not immediately suspect a shooting incident.

Capt. Gonzalodo added that no empty shells were recovered from the crime scene, leading investigators to believe a .38 caliber revolver may have been used.

As of this report, police continue to investigate the incident and search for possible leads or suspects.
