Tupac Shakur’s ex-girlfriend, Desiree Smith, has dropped shocking allegations about the tangled web of relationships between Bad Boy Records and Death Row Records, including claims that Mary J. Blige was romantically involved with Tupac.
Smith made the bombshell revelations during an interview on The Art of Dialogue, where she shared details about the chaotic love lives of major 1990s hip-hop figures, from The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans to Suge Knight and Misa Hylton.
Smith’s Startling Allegations on Tupac and Mary J. Blige
During the interview, Smith suggested that Blige—known for her legendary R&B career and longtime friendship with Misa Hylton—may have had a secret romance with Tupac.
While discussing the well-documented tensions between Death Row and Bad Boy, Smith alleged that Suge Knight was intimately involved with Hylton, who shares a son with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
“And Pac was f*****g her best friend,” Smith stated, pausing dramatically before the host pressed her to reveal the identity of the person in question. When the host hinted at a four-decade music career and a hit album titled My Life, Smith enthusiastically confirmed the guess.
Blige, whose My Life album debuted in November 1994, has been best friends with Misa Hylton for nearly three decades. However, she has never publicly addressed any past romantic links to Tupac.
More Controversy Surrounding Mary J. Blige’s Alleged Relationships
Smith’s allegations aren’t the first time Blige’s dating history with Death Row figures has made headlines.
Former Death Row artist Danny Boy previously claimed he had a romantic relationship with Blige when he was just 16 years old, while she was 24.
“She kinda backed up against me, and every time she did, I moved away,” Danny Boy alleged in a 2022 interview.
He further claimed that he visited Blige multiple times in New York, adding that her relationship with Tupac confused him because he believed they were dating at the time.
Blige has never addressed Danny Boy’s claims nor the latest allegations made by Smith.
Unconfirmed Allegations Continue to Stir Debate
Desiree Smith’s claims have reignited long-standing rumors about the personal relationships between hip-hop’s most influential figures during the height of the East Coast-West Coast rivalry.
However, her allegations—like many surrounding Tupac’s personal life—remain unverified.
Neither Blige nor her representatives have responded to the shocking claims, leaving fans to speculate about the alleged romantic entanglements between some of music’s biggest names.
