Tropical Storm Gardo has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 11:00 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the storm left the PAR around 9:30 this morning.
As of the latest advisory, Gardo was located approximately 1,310 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
The storm was packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 115 kilometers per hour.
Meanwhile, PAGASA forecasts that two to four tropical cyclones may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility in July.
In an interview with Brigada News FM Manila, PAGASA weather specialist Beni Estareja said a low-pressure system may develop next week and could intensify into a weak tropical cyclone.
He also noted that the southwest monsoon, or habagat, is likely to strengthen further in the coming weeks, bringing increased rainfall to parts of the country.
