Three-year-old child dies after being trapped in second-floor blaze in Zamboanga City

Authorities confirm the death of a three-year-old child who becomes trapped on the second floor during a destructive house fire on Saturday morning.

Firefighters respond quickly to the blaze that engulfs a residential structure inside Cariño Compound in Barangay Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City.

Residents gather outside the burning home as thick smoke fills the air while emergency teams attempt a rapid rescue operation.

Investigators earlier reported that the child remained inside the upstairs area when the fire rapidly consumed the wooden portions of the house.
