A 13-year-old Grade 8 student at Kidapawan City, Cotabato tragically died after falling from the fourth floor of a school building on the morning of February 7, 2025.
According to initial police reports, the incident occurred during the school’s flag-raising ceremony, causing panic among students and teachers. Authorities have yet to determine the circumstances leading to the fall.
Investigators said there were no immediate signs of foul play, but they have secured security camera footage from the school to aid in the ongoing investigation.
In response, the Schools Division of Kidapawan City released a statement expressing condolences to the student’s family. They assured the public that they are cooperating fully with law enforcement in determining the cause of the incident.
