Former President Rodrigo Duterte who is known to throw expletives struggled to tame himself not to commit the forbidden act in the House of Representatives Quad Committee’s war on drugs probe.
Members of the Quad Committee repeatedly warned Duterte to strictly follow their rules otherwise he be cited in contempt.
Quad Committee Lead Chairman Representative Robert Ace Barbers in his introductory speech reminded the former president that they will not allow him to utter vulgar language during the conduct of their hearing.
Manila Representative Bienvenido Abante also reminded Duterte that their house rules say that a resource speaker cannot debate or argue with any member of the Quad Committee.
“ I will not allow you to debate on me because if you debate and argue with me I will even tell you, you are out of order. Abante said.
Representative Joseph Stephen Paduano also told Duterte never dare to violate their rules for him not to be cited in contempt.
“Believe me, I will not hesitate to cite you in contempt if you violate our rules” Paduano warned.
Duterte admitted he is cooperating with the house panel as he is afraid to be detained in the House’ custodial facility.
“ Kaya sir takot ako sayo, I will behave sir because of you” Duterte replied.
