Lawyer Levi Baligod has formally referred to the Office of the Ombudsman a signed affidavit executed by 18 individuals who claim to be former members of the Marines and Navy.
Baligod asserted that the 18 individuals allegedly served as “bagmen” who delivered ₱805 billion to President Bongbong Marcos, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co.
According to the lawyer, the affidavit implicates seven senators, 26 congressmen, and several officials from the Bureau of Corrections and the Department of Agriculture, among others.
They allegedly received millions of pesos but failed to present their Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
Baligod said that once the Ombudsman reviews the affidavit, it will find that the individuals named may have committed “malversation” and “bribery.”
Meanwhile, the Ombudsman stated that the allegations will undergo proper evaluation.
