Vice President Sara Duterte questioned the significance of a possible reconciliation with President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., asking, “Mahalaga ba ang away nating dalawa?”
Speaking during her 47th birthday celebration and a visit to former President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court here, Sara Duterte stressed the need to prioritize the country’s pressing issues over political disputes.
“Ano bang pakialam ng mga naghihirap, nagugutom, hindi makapag-aral sa away nating dalawa? Unahin natin ang trabaho at unahin natin ang pangangailangan ng taumbayan.”
The remarks come amid recent statements by President Marcos, who revealed in a podcast that he is open to reconciliation with the Duterte family.
The political divide between Sara Duterte and President Marcos remains a topic of interest as discussions of unity and reconciliation are considered.
