The Sandiganbayan has directed Senator Jinggoy Estrada to submit additional documents related to his request to travel overseas.
During the hearing, the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division ordered the senator’s camp to present a detailed itinerary, a return ticket, and other relevant papers.
Estrada is seeking permission to travel to Japan, Norway, and Austria while facing graft charges in connection with the pork barrel scam.
Meanwhile, the prosecution opposed the senator’s motion, arguing that his international travel is not essential.
The prosecution also stressed that Estrada is still under investigation by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
