Rufa Mae Quinto is set to return to the big screen through a new movie produced by Spring Films, the film production company co-owned by actor Piolo Pascual. The project marks their first collaboration not only as co-stars but also in the production process.
The film also serves as a reunion for Quinto and director Joyce Bernal, who previously worked together on some of her most successful comedy movies, including “Booba,” “Masikip sa Dibdib: The Boobita Rose Story,” and “Super B.” The upcoming project will follow a comedy theme, but Quinto said the team aims for a more elevated approach with hopes of earning recognition for the work.
Quinto continues to enjoy strong public appeal, boosted by her viral performances on “Your Face Sounds Familiar” and her steady line of brand endorsements. Her renewed presence in entertainment has kept her in the spotlight as she prepares for her movie comeback.
After facing several personal challenges last year, including a legal case, Quinto said she is now more cautious in choosing her endorsements. She shared that she has hired a lawyer to review all contracts before she signs them, noting that she wants to protect herself while managing her career more carefully.
The new film with Spring Films marks a significant step in Quinto’s return to acting, bringing together familiar collaborators and a fresh partnership with Pascual. No release date has been announced, but production is underway.
