Roblox slammed for sneaky expiration of ‘DIG’ codes as players rage over lost crates and missing treasure boosts this June

Roblox’s hit digging sim “DIG” is once again under fire after players complained about the sudden expiration of promo codes just days after release.

The June 2025 batch of “DIG” codes included powerful in-game items such as the Evil Horns vehicle attachment and the Disappointment title. But fans who didn’t act fast enough found themselves locked out of these rewards with no warning or grace period.

Players accuse dev of baiting rewards with vanishing codes

Developer Nate, known for the fishing game “Fisch,” introduced “DIG” earlier this year, promising a fast-paced, underground treasure hunt with real-time questing and rare loot rewards. However, sources told GLOBE Magazine that players are now accusing the dev of exploiting urgency by publishing high-value codes with no clear expiration dates.

Three codes were active this June:

  • evilcode for the Evil Horns vehicle attachment
  • plsdevshovel for the Disappointment player title
  • release for three Basic Crates

While these codes offered significant boosts, many users claimed they expired without notice. One player posted that they loaded up the game hours later and found the codes already invalid.

Fans demand transparency after loot lockout

The backlash grew after fans took to X and Discord to complain about missed rewards. Several posts criticized Nate for not clearly labeling expiration times, with one user writing that it’s unfair to drop codes and yank them within 48 hours.

DIG’s Discord server moderators tried to calm the outrage, stating that code expirations depend on engagement spikes. But players argued that unpredictability hurts casual users and encourages nonstop grinding to avoid missing out.

Despite this, others rushed to claim the rewards before they disappeared. Some shared screenshots flaunting their Evil Horns upgrades, triggering even more frustration in those who were too late.

Where to track new codes before they vanish

To avoid missing out again, Roblox insiders advise checking three main sources:

  1. The official DIG Discord server
  2. The DIG Development group on Roblox
  3. Developer Nate’s account on X (@WoozyNate)

These platforms reportedly announce updates earlier than other channels, sometimes hours before codes reach the general public.

Roblox players are now urging the developer to implement countdown timers for every new code to prevent what many are calling unfair expirations.

Until then, players remain on high alert, digging through treasure fields while fearing the next vanishing code drop.
