Two delivery workers were robbed in separate incidents in Cebu on Wednesday, August 13, with authorities investigating whether the same riding-in-tandem suspects were involved.
In Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City, two men on a white motorcycle held up a delivery truck driver. CCTV footage showed both suspects wearing full-face helmets and reportedly armed. The victim immediately sought help from personnel of the City of Talisay Traffic Operations and Development Authority (CT-TODA), who were nearby.
Authorities are calling on anyone with information about the suspects to coordinate with the Talisay City Police Station.
On the same day, another robbery occurred in Barangay Pakigne, Minglanilla. CCTV footage uploaded online showed two armed men on a motorcycle robbing a delivery rider in front of the uploader’s store. The uploader said the suspects spared her grandmother, who was nearby during the incident.
Police noted that the suspects in both robberies appeared to be wearing similar clothing, raising the possibility that the two incidents are linked.
Both cases are under investigation, with police reviewing CCTV recordings and gathering witness statements to identify and locate the perpetrators.
Authorities are reminding the public, especially those in delivery services, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to law enforcement.
