World No. 1 pickleball player Anna Leigh Waters is set to visit the Philippines in October for the Franklin Sports Asia Pickleball Showcase in Manila.
The Manila leg of the showcase will take place from October 13 to 15, giving Filipino pickleball enthusiasts an opportunity to see Waters demonstrate her skills in the sport.
The Philippines will serve as the first destination of the Asia Pickleball Showcase, which will also be held in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
According to Franklin Sports, the country’s pickleball community has recorded a 1,213 percent year-over-year growth rate, making the Philippines one of the fastest-growing pickleball markets in the world.
Waters’ visit is expected to give Filipino fans an opportunity to see one of the sport’s leading players compete and showcase her skills in person.
