The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Eastern Visayas Regional Blood Center has immediately dispatched necessary blood units to the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo.
This comes after the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that claimed lives, caused the collapse of several structures, and left many residents injured.
According to the agency, PRC Chairman Richard Gordon assured the organization’s full readiness to extend support, especially during emergencies.
Gordon emphasized the importance of quick and easy access to blood for Filipinos.
In times like these, he said, the Red Cross will make sure that no patient is left unattended.
