Philippine Red Cross conducts health consultations in evacuation centers

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) assured the public that it is prioritizing the health of communities affected by Typhoon Uwan.

The PRC conducted health consultation sessions in evacuation centers across Apayao, Kalinga, Tarlac, Laguna, Northern Samar, Masbate, Pampanga, Ilocos Sur, Valenzuela, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Pangasinan, and Capiz.

The agency focused on assisting children, mothers, and senior citizens.

It also distributed masks and basic medicines, including those used to prevent leptospirosis.

In addition, the PRC facilitated learning sessions on disease prevention, focusing on leptospirosis, dengue, coughs, and colds.
