P20M worth of shabu seized in Bohol buy-bust operation

Authorities confiscated an estimated P20.4 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Panglao, Bohol, on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

The suspect, identified as Alyas Bords, 34, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City, was arrested during the operation.

Police recovered three kilograms of suspected shabu and a .45 caliber firearm with live ammunition from the suspect’s possession.

The operation was conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bohol.

Authorities are set to file multiple charges against the suspect, including violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Investigators are now probing the suspect’s possible connections to larger drug networks operating in the province.
