The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism and integrity in delivering service to Dabawenyos, following recent drug test results.
Police Captain Hazel Caballero, spokesperson for the DCPO, confirmed that all 333 personnel tested negative for illegal drug use. The tests were conducted as part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ongoing Internal Disciplinary Program, aimed at maintaining a drug-free organization.
While the DCPO’s results are a promising sign, the PNP has yet to release results from other provincial police offices under Police Regional Office XI, which conducted simultaneous random drug tests on January 2.
The initiative reflects the PNP’s intensified efforts to uphold integrity within its ranks, ensuring that officers remain trustworthy and accountable in their duties. However, questions remain about the outcomes from other regional offices, sparking public interest in the broader implementation of this campaign.
The DCPO assured the public of its dedication to maintaining a high standard of conduct among its personnel, emphasizing that such initiatives are crucial for fostering trust and cooperation with the community.
