The Philippine National Police (PNP) is prepared to ensure peace and order during activities set for February 25.
This was assured by PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño days before the commemoration of the EDSA People Power Revolution anniversary, which will coincide with another Trillion Peso March protest.
According to Tuaño, the PNP will deploy more than 11,000 personnel for the planned rally, which is expected to be attended by various groups.
He added that PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. has already ordered the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) to begin coordinating with groups participating in the rally.
At present, the police said they have not received any active threat.
Despite this, they will continue to maintain heightened security and monitoring for the event.
