Veteran actress Vangie Labalan passes away at 83

The Philippine entertainment industry is mourning the passing of veteran actress and comedienne Vangie Labalan at the age of 83.

Her death was confirmed on social media by her son, Carlo Labalan.

According to Carlo, his mother passed away in Australia on February 12 after being admitted to a hospital due to an illness. However, the specific cause of her death was not disclosed.

Carlo expressed his gratitude to his mother’s friends and acquaintances for the love and support they showed her.

He also shared that Vangie’s remains will be brought back to the Philippines.

Vangie’s career flourished from the 1990s to the early 2000s, as she delivered memorable performances in various films and television series.
