Only 46% of adult Filipinos said they were “very happy” with their love life, according to the latest survey by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The result is unchanged from the previous year and remains the lowest recorded in more than two decades since the survey began in 2004.
SWS reported that 40% of respondents said they could still be happier with their love life. Meanwhile, 14% said they currently have no love life.
Compared with 2024 data, the number of Filipinos who believe they could be happier rose by 4 percentage points from 36%. In contrast, the proportion of those with no love life declined by 4 points from 18% last year.
The polling firm said the survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult Filipinos nationwide. Respondents came from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
The 46% rating continues to stand as one of the lowest levels of reported happiness in romantic relationships since SWS first asked the question in 2004. The unchanged figure reflects a continuing trend of relatively low satisfaction in personal relationships among Filipino adults.
Despite the steady share of respondents who describe themselves as very happy, the data shows movement in other categories. More Filipinos now say they could still improve their love life, while fewer report having none.
SWS did not provide additional analysis in its summary but noted that the latest findings mirror last year’s results.
