Ombudsman Remulla Expected to File Cases in the Coming Weeks Over Flood Control Scandal

Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla is expected to file cases before the Sandiganbayan in connection with the alleged corruption involving flood control projects.

In a briefing, Remulla said that the filing of these cases would depend on the available evidence, noting that they have already gathered substantial documents to support the charges.

He added that they aim to complete the case preparation soon, emphasizing that they do not want to cause any delays in the process.

According to Remulla, the filing of the cases could happen within the next few weeks.

He earlier stated that he will not spare anyone involved in the flood control project controversy — regardless of rank or position.

Remulla also assured that all evidence will be thoroughly reviewed and solidly based before any case is filed.

Earlier today, Remulla officially took his oath of office as the new Ombudsman.
