About four in 10 Filipinos, or 43%, consider bribery the most serious allegation in the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, according to the latest Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by OCTA Research.
The survey found that bribery ranked as the top concern among respondents, followed by the alleged misuse of confidential funds at 28%.
Unexplained wealth and grave threats each received 10%, placing them behind bribery and confidential funds among the allegations cited in the impeachment complaint.
Regional results showed that the highest proportion of respondents identifying bribery as the most serious allegation came from the Cordillera Administrative Region, where 75% selected it.
Meanwhile, the issue of confidential funds registered the strongest concern among respondents aged 18 to 24.
The nationwide survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents.
OCTA Research said the survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
The findings reflect respondents’ views on the allegations included in the impeachment complaint against Duterte. The survey did not determine whether any of the allegations are true or establish legal responsibility.
The results also show differing priorities among respondents, with bribery receiving the largest share of responses, followed by the alleged misuse of confidential funds. Smaller percentages identified unexplained wealth and grave threats as the most serious allegations.
The survey provides a snapshot of public opinion on the impeachment case based on the responses gathered from participants nationwide. It was conducted using face-to-face interviews and covered various regions of the country.
