A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a tragic road crash along the Davao-Bukidnon Road in Marilog District, Davao City, early Sunday morning.
The incident happened around 1:05 AM on February 23, 2025, in Sitio Balintong, Barangay Tamugan. Authorities identified the victim as Saldon Aldren Donggallo, a resident of Sitio Pagan Grande, Barangay Tamugan.
According to the police report, Donggallo was driving a motorcycle while heading toward Bukidnon, he allegedly crashed into the rear of a parked truck undergoing engine repairs on the roadside.
Due to the impact, Donggallo sustained severe head and body injuries. Responding medical personnel from Central 911 declared him dead on the scene.
Meanwhile, the truck driver was temporarily held at Marilog Police Station for further investigation and proper disposition. Authorities are still determining whether negligence or other factors contributed to the crash.
