Mga eksperto, inirekomenda ang 4th dose ng COVID shot para sa mga matatanda at immunocompromised

Inirekomena ng Vaccine Expert Panel (VEP) ng bansa ang pagbibigay ng pang-apat na COVID-19 vaccine dose sa mga senior citizens at immunocompromised individuals.

Ayon kay Dr. Ted Herbosa, adviser ng National Task Force against COVID-19, na nagsumite ang VEP ng kanilang rekomendasyon sa Technical Advisory Group at sa All Experts Group ng Department of Health.

Mababatid na sinimulan ng gobyerno ang pagbibigay ng booster shots at third doses sa health workers, senior citizens, at immunocompromised individuals noong November 2021.

Matapos nito, isinunod naman ang pagbibigay ng booster shots sa general population noong Disyembre.
