President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. performed jogging and jumping jacks in front of members of the media to demonstrate that he is in good health and to counter circulating rumors that he is suffering from a serious illness.
After holding a press conference, Marcos again showed his physical condition by running inside the Palace grounds together with several journalists.
The President said the public display of exercise was intended to refute claims about his health and to assure the public that he remains physically capable.
Marcos also disclosed that he has not visited a hospital for three months. He added that his condition remains stable after undergoing medical evaluation related to diverticulitis.
According to the President, he is currently taking maintenance medicine for gout and high blood pressure.
The remarks came amid the spread of speculation suggesting that he may be suffering from a serious illness. Marcos denied the claims and emphasized that he continues to carry out his duties.
The President’s physical demonstration was conducted in the presence of media representatives as part of efforts to address the issue publicly.
