Villar Land Holdings Corp. has yet to receive a copy of the complaint filed against it by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with the Department of Justice (DOJ).
The complaint involves allegations of market manipulation and insider trading against the company and its directors.
In a statement, Villar Group chairman Manny Villar stressed that since they have not yet received a copy of the complaint, their knowledge of the issue remains limited.
At the same time, he emphasized that the company upholds the highest standards of good corporate governance.
Villar also said the company remains committed to transparency and compliance with existing rules and regulations enforced by the SEC and the Philippine Stock Exchange.
He added that the company has cooperated since the SEC began its investigation.
In closing, Villar assured that they will respond to all allegations in the proper forum and will fully cooperate in an impartial investigation.
