Malacañang on Wednesday described several statements made by Vice President Sara Duterte as a “waste of time” to answer, including her remarks on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) and her claim that the 2028 national elections may not push through.
During a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the vice president’s statements have no factual basis and described them as false.
Responding to Duterte’s criticism that the administration failed to fulfill its promise of providing rice at ₱20 per kilogram, Castro said many Filipinos are already benefiting from the program through KADIWA Centers.
Castro also declined to respond to Duterte’s accusation that the current administration is a “dictatorship.”
She likewise dismissed the vice president’s concern that the 2028 elections may not be held.
According to Castro, there is no point in addressing the vice president’s statements because they are allegedly unsupported by facts.
