Government workers and other private individuals headed to different polling precincts inside the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in Intramuros, Manila, to cast their votes.
This comes ahead of the start of three-day local absentee voting (LAV) for the 2025 elections.
Among the expected voters are members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and members of the media who will continue their work on polling day.
A total of 1,400 police officers from the PNP’s national headquarters in Camp Crame are expected to vote through local absentee voting.
According to the PNP Public Information Office, a total of 1,471 personnel from the Command Group, Directorial Staff, and National Support Units are scheduled to participate in the LAV.
PNP Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil cast his vote at the COMELEC’s Multi-Purpose Center.
Polling will be held from April 28 to April 30, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
