LeBron on the verge of 50,000 points as Lakers rise to no. 2 in West

NBA superstar LeBron James is on the brink of making history after reaching 49,999 career points during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 108-102 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, is now just one point away from the unprecedented 50,000-point milestone, solidifying his legacy as one of basketball’s greatest players. At 39 years old, he remains the league’s oldest active player yet continues to dominate the court.

The Lakers’ win over the Clippers also secured their place as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, boasting a 38-21 record. Leading the Lakers’ charge was Luka Dončić, who recorded 29 points, nine assists, and six rebounds.

Despite a strong performance from the Clippers, including a 33-point, 10-rebound double-double from Kawhi Leonard, they fell short and now sit at sixth place in the West with a 32-27 record.

With just one more point needed, the basketball world is watching closely to see when LeBron will officially break the 50,000-point barrier.
