Runners from across Negros and nearby areas are set to hit the streets after sunset as organizers officially open registration for the Salubong sa Kabugana-an Night Run Half Marathon, the first-ever night running event in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
Scheduled on July 26, 2026, the event will start at 4 pm from the Kabankalan City Hall and will feature 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 21-kilometer half-marathon categories.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the male and female divisions of each category.
Winners of the 5-kilometer race will receive P2,000, P1,500, and P1,000, while the top finishers in the 10-kilometer event will take home P3,000, P2,500, and P2,000.

The 21-kilometer half-marathon champions will receive P6,000, with second- and third-placers earning P4,000 and P2,000, respectively.
Registration is P150 for all categories and includes a race bib, finisher’s medal, and meal. Participants may also purchase an event singlet for P250, an event T-shirt for P270, or a finisher’s shirt for P270.
Organizers said only a limited number of slots are available and encouraged interested runners to register early.
The night run is organized through a collaboration among SKC Custom Print, Amber Sports Apparel, Team Negros Road Runners, and Stride Events, in partnership with the Kabankalan City Government.*
