The former head of the Iloilo City Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO), Jeck Conlu, has officially assumed the role of Director I and Assistant Regional Director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Western Visayas.
His appointment was formalized in a ceremony held on December 21, 2024, and officiated by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista.
In his remarks, Conlu expressed deep gratitude and a renewed commitment to public service, stating, “It is both a privilege and an honor to serve the people of Western Visayas in this new role.”
Conlu’s appointment was a turnaround in his career as he transitioned from local government leadership to overseeing regional transportation and public safety operations.
Iloilo City Representative Julienne Baronda congratulated Conlu on his new role and praised his long-standing dedication to public service.
Jeck Conlu will continue to excel and contribute meaningfully in this new position, just as he has in his past roles, she said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Jerry Treñas also expressed pride in Conlu’s appointment, emphasizing his years of service in Iloilo City.
“His commitment to efficient and effective public service has always been a source of inspiration, and now, his expertise will benefit the regional level. His appointment is not only a recognition of his skills and experience but also a testament to his dedication to serving Western Visayas,” he said in a press statement.
