India’s “Steel Man” has added another world record to his growing list of achievements, marking his 17th official entry in the global record books.
Martial artist Vispy Kharadi secured the title of “heaviest weight holding Hercules Pillars (male)” after successfully lifting and holding two massive pillars weighing a combined 261 kilograms.
The feat was staged on August 17 at the Attari border in Punjab, India, before thousands of spectators. Kharadi was required to hold the Hercules Pillars for at least one minute. He went beyond the requirement, extending the attempt by an additional seven seconds.
The effort required assistance from several men, who helped position the enormous pillars before Kharadi chained himself to the structure and stood firm on a raised platform. Spectators cheered as he maintained his hold beyond the target time.
This was not the first time Kharadi demonstrated his strength using Hercules Pillars. In November 2024, he achieved the record for “longest duration holding Hercules Pillars (male)” with a time of 2 minutes and 10.75 seconds.
Kharadi’s latest achievement highlights his consistency and determination in setting world records that showcase both endurance and power. His ability to repeatedly conquer such physically demanding challenges has solidified his reputation as one of the most remarkable strongmen of his generation.
The Attari border event added to his growing popularity, with many noting the discipline and preparation required for such extraordinary displays. Kharadi’s career continues to reflect a rare combination of martial arts training, physical resilience, and a commitment to pushing human limits.
