The Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) emphasized that it is prepared to livestream, or make public, the hearings on the alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
According to ICI spokesperson Brian Hosaka, they are now waiting for a resource person who will appear before the commission and agree to have their testimony made public.
If there are no requests for an executive session, the proceedings will be livestreamed.
Last week, the ICI released guidelines regarding the livestreaming of hearings.
Hosaka added that they aim to balance the public’s right to information with the individual rights of the resource persons who will participate.
