Gasoline prices drop while diesel, kerosene soar again

Oil firms in the Philippines will adjust pump prices on Tuesday, September 30, cutting gasoline costs slightly while raising diesel and kerosene anew.

Seaoil will slash gasoline prices by P0.20 per liter at 6 am but will add P0.90 per liter to diesel and kerosene. Caltex will enforce the same changes starting 6:01am

Industry players traced the rollback to ample gasoline supply in the region, while they linked the diesel hike to stronger demand in Western markets and ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Fuel companies already raised prices across the board last week by P0.80 to P1 per liter, marking the fifth straight increase that further strained transport operators and households.*
