Authorities arrested four individuals tagged as High Value Individuals and seized an estimated Php 1.36 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.
Police Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the Southern Police District, identified the arrested suspects as alias “Geng,” 28, female; alias “Gabriel,” 32, male; alias “Ronel,” 38, male; and alias “Fahad,” 30, male.
Recovered from the suspects were four plastic sachets estimated at 200 grams of suspected shabu, one cellphone, and buy-bust money consisting of one Php 1,000 bill and 49 photocopied Php 1,000 bills. Authorities also confiscated an Armscor 12-gauge shotgun and three rounds of ammunition.
The police said the suspects are facing charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In a statement, Arceo said the arrest reflects the Southern Police District’s efforts to curb illegal drugs within the community. He added that operations will continue as part of ongoing measures against drug syndicates.
The buy-bust adds to continuing anti-drug campaigns in Metro Manila, with police highlighting the importance of operations targeting individuals classified as high risk in the illegal drug trade. Further investigation and case processing are underway.
