The Department of Justice (DOJ) assured that the government is closely monitoring former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan.
This comes after confirmation that Bonoan left the country amid allegations of corruption involving flood control projects under his former agency.

The former secretary is reported to have traveled to the United States.
According to DOJ spokesperson Polo Martinez, Bonoan is under an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order, which allows real-time monitoring of his movements.
He added that the government will keep a close watch on his every action.
